A member of the Thornhill Dermatology Centre team since its inception in 2009, Dr. Howard Bargman is dedicated to providing expert skin care to his patients. With over 35 years of practical experience, Dr. Bargman excels within all facets of dermatology. His comprehensive knowledge of complex skin conditions makes him a valued asset to the field of dermatology. In addition to his role at Thornhill Dermatology Centre, Dr. Bargman is currently the Director of Laser, in the division of Dermatology, at Sunnybrook Health Science Centre in Toronto, Ontario and has held this position since the Laser Program started in August 1999. Born and raised in Toronto, Dr. Bargman has stayed close to his Ontario roots. Earning his medical degree from the University of Toronto and sharing his residency training between the University of Toronto and the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, Dr. Bargman is committed to providing expert skin care in his home province. Dr. Bargman is constantly fascinated by the diversity of the conditions that patients bring with them as they walk in the door and strives to offer the safest, most proven and up-to-date therapeutic modalities.

Underneath his professional dermatologist demeanor, Dr. Bargman posseses a great sense of humour and keen wit. A people-person, Dr. Bargman drove a taxi before completing his Medical Degree and has performed stand up comedy. A classically trained musician, Dr. Bargman played the trumpet and piano and was a member of many bands, orchestras and combos before his medical career – he even played a few weddings until the night shifts of medical residency prevented him from playing evening affairs. When he isn’t practicing, teaching or studying, Dr. Bargman enjoys spending time with his family, attending the theatre and symphony, watching sports or playing sports and reading.
