Dr. Michael Brandt is our in-house Facial Plastic & Reconstructive Surgeon. He provides dedicated and meticulous care to our patients with skin cancers, pre-cancerous skin spots, and a variety of cosmetic concerns. He strives to achieve the best possible outcomes and restore his patients to their natural self. Patients routinely comment on his approachable demeanor and exceptional results.
Dr. Brandt completed both medical school and specialty residency training in Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery at the University of Western Ontario and is certified by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. Following residency, Dr. Brandt refined his surgical skills through sub-specialty fellowship training in Facial Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery at the University of Michigan. This ultra-competitive fellowship is internationally regarded as a top cosmetic and reconstructive training program.
Although still relatively early in his career, Dr. Brandt has published over 30 scientific articles and book chapters and is a sought-after lecturer and panelist at national and international meetings for his expertise in facial reconstruction. As a Clinical Lecturer with the University of Toronto, Dr. Brandt is actively involved in teaching resident physicians and medical students both locally and nationally. Dr. Brandt’s love of teaching extends to his patients, where he takes every opportunity to ensure his patients understand all aspects of their diagnosis and care.
In his spare time, Dr. Brandt enjoys spending time with his young family and training in various martial arts.
